Become a “Key Changemaker” Team Captain

Key Changemaker Team Captains lead mission’s success!  Each Key Changemaker is an ambassador that connects Key to Change with their networks and brings their friends and family– their “team”–to the Spring Salon. Create your own guest list and enjoy an inspirational afternoon with friends, family, and your community.

Key to Change will publicly acknowledge all of our Key Changemakers at our Spring Salon Fundraiser and acknowledge them on our website and printed program.

Here are 4 easy ways to sign up as our Key Changemaker

1. Sign up to be a Key Changemaker

Anyone with passion to support underserved youth, students of color, and/or students who love music are encouraged to register here. Register the number of people that is right for your team–i.e., Key Changemaker (team of 5).

2. Publicize the Spring Salon Fundraiser to your networks through emails, texts, and other forms of social media

Once you’ve purchased your tickets, invite your friends and family to join you. Immediately following the registration of your team, we’ll send you sample scripts and a short video that you can email, text, or post on social media, making it very easy for you to send.

3. Who’s on your team?

Once you have confirmed your guests, please send us an email to [email protected], so we can register all of your guests. If you still don’t know who your guests are, we’ll hold all of your tickets at “Will Call” and your guests may access their tickets by mentioning your name the day of the event.

4. Check in with your guests the week of the Spring Salon Fundraiser

We understand that things happen, so we encourage you to confirm your guests’ attendance the week of the Spring Salon Fundraiser. If for any reason, you’re unable to host your team, please let us know right away so we can make sure your guests feel welcomed.

Duties of a Key Changemaker Team Captain

Key Changemakers serve a critical role in the success of our Spring Salon Fundraiser. By purchasing a team of 5 or 10 , team captains ensure that our fundraiser reaches its $200,000 goal. You will make this our most successful fundraiser yet! Our Key Changemakers are a diverse group of people who believe in our mission and want to advance equity, inclusion and world-class music instruction, for all students.

Why Should Guests Attend?

Let them know that our students will be performing and receiving prizes from our Solo String Festival. Additionally, it’s a time to celebrate Dr. Sheila Edwards Lange, chancellor at University of Washington – Tacoma, for her unrivaled contributions to underserved youth in South King County. Join us to witness the progress we’ve made in empowering youth through music and the incredible impact they are having on their respective communities. This is an opportunity to celebrate youth doing great things in our community and to reward their participation by showing up for them!
