Seahawks & Delta Air Lines Surprise Founder Dr. Quinton Morris with the Delta Community Captain Award

The Seattle Seahawks and Delta Air Lines employees arrived at Key to Change, where they surprised Dr. Quinton Morris with the Delta Community Captain Award while he was giving a violin lesson to a student. In addition to the employees, staff members from the Seattle Symphony, students, parents, and Key to Change staff were in attendance to share in the celebration and presentation of the award.

During the presentation, Seattle Seahawks and Delta Air Lines employees gave remarks and presented Dr. Morris with a personalized football. In honor of his award, Seattle Seahawks and Delta Air Lines employees volunteered to prepare student registration packets and were able to receive some impromptu violin lessons and experience first-hand Dr. Morris’ skills as a violin teacher.

For the past two years, Key to Change has collaborated with the Seattle Symphony, where they developed a community partnership for violin and viola students enrolled in their string studio. Under the leadership of Dr. Morris, students have made their solo debuts with the Seattle Symphony, participated in a side-by-side orchestra performance, performed at Benaroya Hall in their annual Solo String Festival

A public acknowledgment of the Delta Community Award will be presented at Lumen Field during the Seattle Seahawks battling the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, December 22, 2024.
