Make a Positive Transformation

Sick of sounding scratchy? Nervous to play in front of others? Determined to get better?

Feel Proud and Sound Great

Whether you’re frustrated or overwhelmed when you practice or just eager to improve quickly, we can help! Many of our students have been playing their instrument in a school orchestra or other ensemble for years and are hungry to play better.

Our violin and viola string studio gives middle and high school students in South King County the support they need to make dramatic progress—so you (and your parents) can be proud of how you play. We have a proven track record of helping students become more confident, skillful and expressive musicians who have excellent technique and beautiful tone.

Our students learn various styles of music in a diverse and healthy environment. Each student is taught by a renowned university professor and professional violinist and a small team of Key to Change instructors who help you make major progress in a matter of weeks. Our curriculum is designed to give you confidence and teach you to be responsible, caring musicians who are role models in your schools and communities.

We offer a range of lesson options, so you can pick the one that fits you best. Scholarships are available for each option. Learn more below!

Classes We Offer

Group Lessons

Group lessons are our most popular lesson option. They’re great for students who want to make progress in a fun, collaborative environment alongside peers who share their love for music.

Private Lessons

Private lessons are excellent for students who want to learn at their own pace in a personalized environment. Students who take private lessons tend to make the fastest, most noticeable progress.

Young Artist Academy

YAA is for students who are highly motivated and requires a one-year commitment and runs from the fall through the summer. It includes many special opportunities.

Combo Lessons

Violin and viola students have the option of taking a combination of individual and group lessons, getting the benefits of one-on-one attention and camaraderie of group lessons.
