Two Transformative Events Key To Change + Seattle Symphony & Unmute The Voices:

Seattle Symphony & Unmute The Voices:

Students debut on stage and on the radio.

They’re doing BETTER. THAN. EVER

This October, three of our exceptional Key to Change students will participate in two major transformative musical events as violin soloists. We invite you to experience their performances and to invest in the excellence living in your community.

Consider this: Key To Change’s students are soaring to new heights. Three of them: Madison Cole, Eden Pawlos, and Avi Spillers have earned the opportunity to perform on a major radio station and to appear as soloists with the Grammy and Emmy Award-winning Seattle Symphony. The musicians of the Seattle Symphony are some of the best in the world–they are major-league professionals. Our students’ incredible opportunity is parallel to student athletes stepping onto the field with the Seahawks or the Mariners. It will be a rare and transformative moment that will showcase their immense promise, skill, and dedication.

Madison is a 12th grader at Garfield High School and has studied violin at Key to Change since she was in the 7th grade. She desires to either major or minor in music upon graduation next year.

Eden is a 11th grader at Kentridge High School and has studied violin at Key to Change since she was in 8th grade. She also won the Jessie Montgomery Competitive Division during the Solo String Festival and was awarded a $1,000 college scholarship. In addition to her upcoming Seattle Symphony debut, she will also solo debut with the Federal Way Symphony Orchestra and return as a soloist with the Northwest Symphony Orchestra next season.

Avi is a 9th grader at Mount Rainier High School and has studied violin at Key to Change for the past two years. She is a previous winner of the Debut Competitive Division, where she won a $500 college scholarship and an opportunity to perform live on Northwest Focus Live on Classical King.

All three students study violin with Dr. Quinton Morris and Noah Geller, with Geoffrey Liu as their piano collaborator.

The three students perform both on the radio and with the Seattle Symphony.

Join us for the live taping of Unmute The Voices radio show on Oct. 4 and/or attend our students’ Seattle Symphony Orchestra debut at IKEA Performing Arts Center on Oct. 27 in Renton. After the performances, celebrate our students’ extraordinary accomplishments at a joyous post-concert reception. Both events are free and open to the public.

Help us reach our fundraising goal of $50,000 to continue to provide world-class music instruction to underserved students living in South King County. Together, we can maintain our 90% student retention by providing a learning environment that is inclusive, equitable, artistically excellent and psychologically safe for our students”.
