Delta Airlines partners with Key to Change to Help Students Fly to College

Key to Change is thrilled to announce a new partnership with Delta Air Lines that will help students “Keep Climbing” through an innovative new program designed to help them make informed decisions about where they attend college.  

The new pilot program—called “Stay Informed”—will provide a travel voucher to each high school senior who has been accepted to their top-choice college, enabling them to visit the school before they officially enroll. Many of these students will be the first in their families to go to college.

Visiting a college or university where a student has been accepted is important because it allows them to get a firsthand feel for the campus environment, assess whether it’s a good fit, learn more about the academic programs, interact with current students and faculty, and gain a better understanding of the social life and surrounding community. All of these insights are profoundly helpful when students are deciding where they will ultimately enroll. This incredible investment from Delta will ensure our students have access to transformative educational opportunities nationwide.

“This is a game changer and a major upgrade to our program in how we serve our students,” said Dr. Quinton Morris, executive director and founder of Key to Change. “Our students and their families will now be supported in understanding the whole landscape of college and in how to make the right decision for them.” 

Students who are seniors in high school, have been enrolled at Key to Change for a period of three or more years, and receive financial aid are eligible. Students must provide proof of acceptance to their intended college or university, and complete an application. 

As part of this new partnership, Key to Change students will also perform at Delta Airlines’ 100th Centennial Celebration later this month.
