Key to Change announces that Dr. Sheila Edwards Lange, Chancellor of the University of Washington Tacoma, will receive its prestigious Community Service Award. This award recognizes Dr. Lange’s commitment and tireless advocacy for causes that align with Key to Change’s mission and improve our community.

In her role as the Chancellor of UW Tacoma, Dr. Lange has demonstrated exemplary leadership, growing both the size and diversity of the school’s admissions. Like Key to Change, she is a champion of inclusion, excellence, and achievement in education.

Furthermore, Dr. Lange has been instrumental in increasing access to post-secondary education for underserved students. As an educator, policy maker, board member, and executive, her impact on the quality of public education across the region has been profound. Her leadership has made an indelible mark on our community.

The Community Service Award is a well-deserved recognition of Dr. Lange’s outstanding contributions to education and the betterment of our community. We look forward to celebrating her achievements with you at our Spring Salon, April 7 at 2 PM at Benaroya Hall.
