Intern with Key to Change! Social Media Marketing Internship

Key to Change is a nonprofit violin studio dedicated to inspiring underserved youth through world-class music instruction. The Key to Change Social Media Marketing Internship is ideal for students who are interested in creating and implementing social media campaigns, building a diverse work portfolio, and gaining hands-on experience with an arts nonprofit.

The successful candidate will assist Key to Change with social media marketing efforts and publicity surrounding lesson registration, fundraisers, concerts, master classes, and other studio events. Responsibilities include planning and implementing marketing objectives across Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. This includes organizing social media campaigns, writing and creating multimedia content and distributing it across platforms, coordinating social media efforts with our marketing committee, and researching and pursuing methods to gain followers and increase engagement.

Number of Weekly Hours: Part-Time Temporary, 8-12 hours per week

Compensation: Paid upon completion of the term; students may arrange for course credit in place of payment

Responsibilities:

  • Draft overarching social media strategy for the coming year
  • Plan and implement social media campaigns surrounding events and fundraisers
  • Create engaging multimedia content for Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
  • Write content across social media platforms
  • Attend, photograph, and post about Key to Change events such as concerts, master classes, and fundraisers
  • Highlight stories of Key to Change students, teachers, board, and community members through engaging social media content
  • Research and implement new methods to gain followers and increase engagement
  • Other projects as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Student must have excellent knowledge of popular social media platforms
  • Student must have excellent writing and communication skills
  • Student must have excellent time management skills and be able to meet weekly deadlines
  • Student must have an interest in the arts
  • Student must maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Student must have strong organizational skills
  • Student must have evening and weekend availability
  • Student must have a high school degree and be currently enrolled in college
  • Photography experience is preferred
